Information to Know Before Your First Visit

Depending on your condition, a typical session will last approximately 30-45 minutes. Here are a few important things to keep in mind:

  • Remember to wear clothes that are suitable for your treatment.

  • In addition to providing us your insurance card, we will need you to provide valid photo identification.

  • Please notify us 24 hours in advance of your appointment if you need to cancel, otherwise you may be assessed a cancellation fee.

Many of our patients can receive Alpine Therapy's services without getting a referral from a doctor. Please call us to determine whether we can begin treating you right away.

Coverage information & frequently ASKED qUESTIONS

When should I schedule treatment?

Any time you are experiencing chronic pain, you should consider physical therapy.   Depending on your issue and your insurance, a doctor's prescription is not required, so please call us to inquire.   We strongly encourage you to schedule multiple appointments up-front, as our therapists are usually booked for two to three weeks in advance.

What billing or insurance information will I receive?

As a courtesy, we will verify your coverage with your insurance carrier. Please understand that verification of coverage is only a quote and not a guarantee of payment. We will file directly with your insurance company for services rendered and assist you in obtaining payment from your insurance company. To assure the highest level of coverage, we encourage you to be aware of limitations and requirements that your insurance plan might have.

Some common requirements and limitations include:

  • Copay required by the patient at the time of service

  • A Physician referral may or may not be necessary. Please ask our staff.

  • Therapy visit limitations per calendar year

  • Pre-Certifications

  • Deductible and Co-insurance obligations

When should I expect to get a bill?

Alpine Therapy will provide you with an invoice after your insurance has paid or made a decision on services rendered. This can take on average 2-3 months.

I received a notice that my insurance company has paid on my bill - but I can't understand how they calculated their payment amount. Do you know?

As a courtesy we will file directly with your insurance company for services rendered and assist you in obtaining payment from your insurance company. Please note that insurance quotes are not a guarantee of benefits or coverage. We encourage you to review and confirm your rehabilitation benefits with your insurance company as they may differ from your standard medical coverage. Alpine Therapy will provide you with an invoice after your insurance has determined and paid for the coverage they provide.
